I mentioned last week that Grandma Lorraine turned 96 years old and that we went back to Illinois to celebrate. Here is a picture from her party, Nelson and Lorraine.

I don't know if I have ever explained the name of my blog. It is pretty simple actually. Nelson and Lorraine are the names of my grandparents. They were quite a pair those two. Nelson was known around town for his sense of humor and Lorraine was known for her style. Nelson passed away 15 years ago. Lorraine has lived by herself in the same house ever since. They were and are amazing role models for me. I can't wait to tell Nelson all about his great-grandpa.
